Uganda President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has of yesterday pledged support to the creatives’ Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization (SACCO), with Ugx 5Billion.
Yesterday1 March 2026 was the second Jazz With Jajja meeting, where President Museveni interacted with Ugandan creators to discuss issues affecting them.
The meeting was held at President Museveni’s Kisozi Farm, graced by creative industry players, the First Lady Janet Museveni, and other members of the first family.
It was here that several creatives, including Lil Pazo Lunabe, Tamale Mirundi Junior, and YouTuber Kasuku, addressed the challenges they face in the creative industry.
Speaking before the congregation, Kasuku revealed that creatives launched a SACCO to elevate their financial well-being; unfortunately, they are facing financial challenges.
In response, Museveni pledged to support the initiative with Ugx 5B and is ready to meet Kasuku next week to delve further into issues concerning the SACCO.
